Autumn has arrived!!! The best season of the year. Shorter evenings, beautiful colours in the trees, chutney making (and the obligatory new boots!). October is also a very popular month for household improvements and preparations begin for *whispers* Christmas.
What does Wells Reclamation have to offer? Our fantastic solid wood freestanding kitchen units continue to be hughely popular. Simple, timeless designs which are easy to fit to create the perfect farmhouse kitchen. As well as the freestanding units, we have our Mix & Match units which can give you a 'fitted' kitchen in no time at all. The beauty of this range is that they are complete units - there is no carcassing etc. Just bolt them to wall and hey presto! I have one of these kitchens so when I get bored with the look I just paint it a different colour. Easy.
Perhaps you've been considering a new floor. The choices we have in stock are vast. Stone, slate, solid oak, engineered oak, pine, reclaimed pine and terracotta. We carry large stocks of all and can deliver all over the country. The engineered oak is particularly good for underfloor heating and does not need to be acclimatised before laying.
Not to be confused with a laminate, the top consists of a 6mm top grade oak tread and then there are 9 layers of commerical grade ply to keep it in place. Once sealed, this floor will only improve with age and no one will ever know it's not solid oak boards.The majority of our stone and slate flooring can be used both internally and externally allowing you to have a floor which flows from inside to outside. We have traditional stone flagstones for the true country, period look. Then there is slate which is more contemporary and elegant. Both are hardwearing, will improve with age and last you for years to come.
This is also the time of year to think about heating your home. We have a range of reproduction cast iron radiators and can also supply valves in brass or chrome. These classic designs give you a traditional look with modern functionality.
We always have an ever changing stock of original cast iron fireplaces which are restored onsite - an original fireplace instantly gives your home an authentic period feature.
However, if one of the originals is not suitable or above your budget, we also have a number of reproduction cast iron fireplaces in stock at all times. We also have a huge selection of fireside accesories - both new and reclaimed.
Our hand carved stone fire surrounds are always popular. Beautiful buff coloured sandstone, hand carved surrounds in a number of traditional styles. These look fabulous in both period and more modern properties and are very competitively priced.
Finally, throughout our five acre site, you will find vintage, antique and new furniture in every conceivable style and price range.
