FAQs

When are you open?

Our opening hours are below. You can also order online and we can deliver all over the UK and beyond.

Opening Hours

Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5pm

Saturday - 10am to 4pm

Sunday & ALL Bank Holidays - CLOSED

Can I bring my dog?

We allow well behaved dogs on site but they must be KEPT ON A LEAD AT ALL TIMES. If you don't have a lead, then your dog will have to be carried or left in your car.

We politely ask that you keep control of your pets, use poo bags where necessary and please take the filled bags home. Unfortunately, we have had a number of customers who have not cleaned up after their pets, even inside the showrooms. Please don't be like these people. Thanks.

Are you open at the weekend?

We are open on Saturdays 10am to 4pm and we are always closed on Sundays.

Are you open on Bank Holidays?

No, we are closed on all bank holidays.

Where are you?

We are in Somerset in a village called Coxley. This is between Wells and Glastonbury on the A39. We are difficult to miss as there is a full sized cast iron white horse at the entrance and a statue of President Zellensky (we're not joking).

Do you have large quantities of stone flooring available?

We have 1000's of square meters available at all times. We can supply and deliver very quickly all over the UK. Delivery prices are calculated for each individual job.

Can you calculate my flooring requirements?

Yes we can calculate how many square metres you need and the number of tiles, slabs or planks required to fill that space. We DO NOT provide patterns for stone flooring.

If I over order flooring, can I return the surplus?

Sorry, but all flooring and building materials are non-returnable. Not even for a credit note. Please ensure you measure your space carefully.

Can you make bespoke kitchen units?

We have an excellent range of both freestanding and modular kitchen units. These are all listed on our website. We cannot provide a bespoke service.

Am I able to take photographs?

Yes, feel free to do so. However, in return, we would appreciate a donation to our charity of choice, St Margaret's Hospice. We have a collection tin on the counter. Thanks

Is your yard like an Aladdin's cave?

Wells Reclamation is often compared to such a place, but this is obviously subjective depending on your own personal vision of the afore mentioned cave. We do not have a genie.

Do you have car parking on site?

Yes, there is plenty of car parking available.

Is your cat for sale?

Mog, our resident cat is NOT for sale. She is beautiful and friendly and always welcomes attention. However, due to her loveliness, she is priceless and therefore unavailable for purchase.

Do you take deposits?

Sorry, no we don't. We can reserve items for a few days with no obligation whilst you make a decision.

Is your yard child friendly?

We welcome families with their children. However, please be aware that some areas could be hazardous, so please do not leave your children unattended. Unattended children will be given a large espresso and a puppy.

Do you have a cafe?

We have a self service cafe with an honesty box. This is open on Saturdays and some weekdays. If you arrive to find it closed, please ask nicely and we could probably be presuaded to make you a cuppa.

Are there customer toilets available?

We have staff toilets which customers are welcome to use if required. There is soap and anti bac hand gel available.  Please be aware that we do not have nappy changing facilities.

I often lose my spouse on site, is this something you could help me with?

We are aware that this can be a problem. However, with a site of over 5 acres, it can be an occupational hazard. We do have a tannoy system so if you really need to find your other half, we can summon them to the office for you. Alternatively, have you considered a GPS system?

How long will I need to stay?

We have a site of over 5 acres so we recommend at least a few hours to see everything. Some hardened reclaimers have been known to bring a picnic.

Can you make bespoke items?

We are unable to provide a bespoke service. However, we can order additional items for you if they are not in stock at present.

If I bought a kitchen, how long until it arrives?

If the items are in stock, we can usually deliver within 7 working days depending on your location. However, if the items are not in stock, it could take up to 12 weeks.

What tips do you have for a new salvage hunter?

Come with an open mind. Wear warm clothes and bring a tape measure!

Could you sell something for me?

Do your prices include VAT

Yes, all our prices include VAT at 20%.

If I order online, can I collect my items in person?

Yes you can.

If I order online, can I pay over the phone?

Yes you can. Please quote your order number.

Can you deliver my purchases?

Yes, we can deliver all over the world. We offer delivery by post, courier, our own delivery driver or by pallet. Prices depend on the type, size and weight of the item. Please note that if we use a pallet company or a haulier, the delivery date is not guaranteed. Third party delivery companies will do their best to meet our scheduling requirements, but there may be delays due to staffing, work load, location and access to your property. If you need delivery on a specific date, we recommend ordering at least 2 weeks in advance for heavier items, building materials and furniture.

And although we have been referred to many times as an Aladdin's Cave, we cannot deliver by magic carpet - he's just too flighty... wahwahwah.

Please follow this link for our full delivery terms.

How long until I receive my stuff?

Deliveries are dependant on the size and weight of the product, but we aim to have things with you within a week. For international sales, this could be longer. We will also arrange delivery by courier if required.

Please note that if we use a pallet company or a haulier, the delivery date is not guaranteed. Third party delivery companies will do their best to meet our scheduling requirements, but there may be delays due to staffing, work load, location and access to your property. Can I negotiate the price?

How do you ever manage to do a stock take?

As you can imagine this is a long and often frustrating task. Thankfully, we have a group of very well-paid elves who do this for us.

Is all your stuff old?

We pride ourselves on having an eclectic collection of old, new, reclaimed, antique and vintage. We have genuine reclaimed items and sympathetic reproductions. We have something for everyone.

Is all your stock listed on the website?

We try to include as much as possible online. However, the stock is so vast that there will always be more in store than online. If there is a specific item you need, and you can't find it online, please call the office and we will do our best to assist you. 01749 677087.
