Road Closure
The yard is open, but cannot be accessed on the A39 from Wells. You will need to approach on the A39 from Glastonbury. Somerset County Council, in their infinite wisdom, have placed "Road Closed" signs along this route, but the road is not affected until after our entrance. If you try to reach us from Wells, you will see that Somerset County Council have helpfully put up both "Road Closure" signs, as well as signs informing you that local businesses are still open....even though they are inaccessible from the direction you are travelling from.
We would like to say that the County Council have been helpful, but this would be wrong. Even though our business is within 100 yards of the road closure they did not see fit to inform us in writing about the closure, or provide any help with correct signage to help our customers. The utter disdain shown to local businesses is staggering.
We apologise for the inconvenience.
We would like also like to give you a good laugh. Have a look at the Council website, and read the guff they print about supporting local businesses, then come and see our deserted yard....
