Wherever I lay my hat....
Most would assume that birds lived in the trees. Or at least nested in the trees - up high and away from predators. Therefore, we were a little surprised to discover that one of our cannons contains a family of very loud tweeting birds. But then, it's dark, secluded and no cat has a paw 18 inches long to reach the base of the cannon and the babies contained within!
We've decided to take this particular cannon off sale until the fledglings have flown the nest!
UPDATE 14/5/12
We can confirm that it is a very dedicated family of Great Tits. Both Mum and Dad are actively feeding the babies and loudly guarding the nest.
